Yoshinori Ohsumi's Nobel Price

Yoshinori is a Japanese cell biologist specializing in autophagy, borned in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1945, so he is 72 years old. He studied at the University of Tokyo where he received his doctoral degree in 1974. After a few years at Rockefeller University, New York, he returned to the University of Tokyo. In 1996 he moved to the National Institute for Basic Biology in Okazaki. He worked for the Tokyo Institute of Technology, nowadays he is retired. He is married to Mariko Ohsumi that is one of his scientific collaborators.
Yoshinori won many awards on his career, such as Gairdner Foundation International prize in 2015, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine last year (2016) and Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences this year (2017), but I'm going to concentrate in his Nobel Prize.

He won the Nobel Prize because of his discoverys about the autophagy. Do you know what it means?
Autophagy is a fundamental process for degrading and recycling cellular components. The word autophagy originates from the Greek words auto-, meaning "self", and phagein, meaning "to eat". Thus,autophagy denotes "self eating". This concept emerged during the 1960's, when researchers first observed that the cell could destroy its own contents by enclosing it in membranes, forming sack-like vesicles that were transported to a recycling compartment, called the lysosome, for degradation. Difficulties in studying the phenomenon meant that little was known until, in a series of brilliant experiments in the early 1990's, Yoshinori Ohsumi used baker's yeast to identify genes essential for autophagy. He then went on to elucidate the underlying mechanisms for autophagy in yeast and showed that similar sophisticated machinery is used in our cells.
I have chosen this biologist, because his name and the name of a character of Mario Bros that I like it a lot are the same ones: "Yoshi".

Social sites

Hey bro's! Whats up!
This time I return with a topic, that probably most of the  people are using nowadays and mostly the teenagers, such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat... If the social site is used correctly, this is going to be very useful and safe. But we have to use it very carefuly, for example anyone can take you your own photos from your profile or to think that the person that you are sharing your private photos is trustworthy, otherwise the person that is in the other site of the phone or the computer can manipulate you with those pictures. Not only that, people says where he is in every moment, for instance when somebody goes on holidays, he or she uploads an image of the place, so the thiefs inform that the family is not at home and they can steal their things. To prevent those causes:

• Put your account in private.
• Be sure that the person that you are chatting or sharing photos is trustworthy.
• To not upload photos saying your location.
• ... 

But, like everything thing in the world, the social sites don't have only bad aspects, they also have good aspects, such as:

• You can see the results of the different types of matches: football ones, NBA ones, basketball ones...
• You can see the highlights of the matches, this is, the best plays of the match.
• You can see what your friends upload in the social site.
• You can participate in different raffles.
• ... 

From my point of view, the social sites are good alternatives to the games, because you can enterntain by seeing photos, news, results. But as I say before, we have to be careful, wise we can finish in a very bad conditions, for example, manipulated by a psychopathic. 

DJ's are specials!

Hi!
This time I return with one topic that I think you like it, exactly the topic of the DJ's. Do you like listening to music? And what kind of music?
My favourite type of music is the electronic one, the music that the DJ's create, that is the reason for my choice.
We can say that the Disc Jokers are very specials, because their life is a very good one. They earn a lot of money doing things they like, such as, play in concerts, create songs and if you become a famous DJ you will have a lot of sponsors. No everybody borns with the qualities to be a famous DJ, but the most famous Disc Jokers; nowadays, they learn how to play and create electronic music. And after some years playing and creating different songs, a number of those beginner DJ's become famous ones.
One of the best examples of that, is the young Martin Garrix, who started creating electronic songs when he was 8 years and giving concerts when he was 12 years old. Nowadays, is the best Disc Joker of all of the world.

According to the "Top 100" page, the ranking is based on the listeners that the artis has. In the first position, like I say before is Martin Garrix. In my opinion is the best because he mix de pop songs with his electronic song, so with that more listeners listen the song, because the lovers of the pop and of the electronic music join. For example  "Scared to be lonely" is a type of those songs. In the second position, there are two brothers that they form a DJ couple, called "Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike". Their songs are very motivating and good ones, but one is in the top os that list, because that one has a lo of listeners and mostly all of the world are going to know the song if we sing it. To finish, in the third position is the artis "Hardwell" that the real name is Robbert van de Corput. He is 29 year old, was born in Netherland and the most listened song that he has this Disc Joker is  "Spaceman".
